March Sew and Tell

As always Sew and Tell was wonderful. I do
have to apologize to those of you who brought
sew and tell and do not see it here. My camera decided
not to record pictures for about 10 frames. If you
are one of these people and want your project on the
blog, then bring it to Quilt Guild meeting and we will
try it again. So Sorry!!!

This is a quilt Deonn made. She is also teaching a
class on how to make it at Seasons of Home.

KayeDawn made this signature quilt for her
grandson who is in the military.

KayeDawn's beautiful applique block.

Deonn designed this cute owl block.

Deonn also designed this darling chick table runner.

Michele tried out a new technique. Fabric Stained Glass.
Stunning!

Fun block!

Natalia and Kathleen designed this cute table runner that
is attached by buttons. When they are unattached they
become individual place mats. Love it!!!
You can find this pattern on Moda's website.

This is another quilt that they have designed called "twigs".

this is yet another new design. cute...

Bonie has been busy making 52 Christmas Stockings
for a family Christmas party next year. Wow! Is she on the
ball or what?

Linda's darling wall hanging.

Linda made a cute covered notebook.

Cute quilted jacket.

Sally made this darling apron for her daughter.

I can't wait to see this quilt finished. Fun fabrics!!

Sally made another cute apron.

Suzanne made this fun Valentines quilt.

Carol made this cute flannel quilt in one month. Way to go!!!

Carol made this patriotic quilt. When she got finished
she thought that it was too bright and wanted it to be more
muted tones. So she dyed it ecru with Rit dye. It turned
out great. What a brave woman.

Beth finished her block of the month quilt
from American Quilting. It is gorgeous.

Lisa made this fun black and white quilt.

Andrea made this quilt for her nephew who is getting
his Eagle Scout Award. It is made out of
scouting fabric.

Tricia's Valentine table runner.

Tricia finished her block of the week from Seasons of Home.

Rachel made this quilt all out of half square triangles.
It is stunning!

Paper Piecing Lesson

A big thanks to Deonn for teaching us about paper piecing.
She gave us great tips.

The Footsteps to Successful Paper Piecing -
1. Fold
2. Trim
3. Stitch
4. Press
5. Smile

Following is the Circle of Geese block that Deonn showed
in her class. You can link to a tutorial slide show by linking
here.

Deonn brought in some great examples of paper piecing made
by her and her daughters.

This is Debbie's quilt.

If you like more information you can go to Deonn's Blog for a tutorial
on paper piecing.
She also recommended several good websites for paper piecing patterns:
piece by number, quilters cache and Carol Doak.
You can just click on one of these names and it
will take you to that website from here.
Thanks Deonn!!!

You can also catch Deonn on Saturday, March 12 at Seasons of Home.
She will be doing an open house that day (from 2:00 - 5:00 pm). She will also be
teaching some classes throughout the month. You can
get more information at the Seasons of Home website.
