October - Depression Era Quilting

This month Deonn showed some great quilts from the Depression Era.
Those women did great things from what little they had to work with.

Wasn't it great to get up close and personal with these quilts. Using every scrap they had, sometimes piecing even the tiniest scraps together to get just one more 2" square! You can see how important quilting was to our foremothers, how well-loved some of these quilts were, and what treasures they are, generations later. Never forget that you are creating your own lasting treasures, sharing a piece of yourselves with every stitch!
