Lets "Owl" Sew Together Retreat

The retreat was at homestead and was a blast.  THANK YOU Beth Emmett and Tamara Ellis for all your hard work. Also Thank you to Susan Turpin for teaching us the cute owl pin cushin's, Deonn Stott and Debbie Proctor for teach the drunkards path (so many ideas to do with it), and Sally Siggard and Rachel Crane for your hard work on the Design challenge.
Here in the link for the papers for the design challenge.  Go to  Print out the 2 inch half square triangles.  Sew two sheets of triangles.  Each one with a dark and light fabric.  Sew on the doted lines and the cut on the drawn blocks.  Don't cut the two triangles apart.  it will be easier to trading to give two triangle blocks this way.
Here are some pictures to enjoy from the retreat and guild meeting.

Barbara Finished her Design challenge from 2008
A peak at projects Deonn has been making for Riley Blake with their new circle rulers

Susan's cute owl pin cushions that she taught us

Kandy finished her scarf that she was knitting
Cami using the GO cutters that Deonn and Debbie brought for us to use for the drunkards path

Our Charity project update. We had 34 quilts donated to the FFA group to tie and give to the road home group.  They loved them.  Debbie did a drawing for a fabric bundle for everyone that did a charity quilt.  Carol Hunt was the lucky winner of this bundle.

Everyone in the guild got or will get a 3 ring binder with everyone's names and a lace to keep all of our guild info.  The quilt on the front is Margaret Schloss's Heber valley row Quilt.  What a great way to keep everything together.
