Kaye Evan's BEE UNIQUE Trunk Show

Kaye Evans was our wonderful guild meeting guest in July. She shared with us how to be unique and make a quilts our very own with our own personality being reflected. She had an amazing trunk show and we were very pleasured to have her with us for the evening.

If you remember anything in particular about some of these quilts, please be sure to comment so the rest of us can remember her tricks and tips and how inspired she made us feel.

Selvage quilt

Tree block exchange quilt

She precut leaves and packaged them together in different colors and asked her group members to make her a tree block using those leaves. WOW!

House block exchange
The trees were embellished with buttons for leaves!

Olympic quilt block exchange

Fractured Cat quilt

She made full size patterns for her friends, slashed them into a few pieces, gave them all a photo of the purple cat picture along with their section of the pattern, and asked them to make their slashed section of the quilt. She then put it all together!

Also a fractured quilt

July's Queen Bee

Kazuko was the Queen Bee for July. It was great to get to know more about her and it was WONDERFUL to see some of the beautiful things she has made. Many of the quilts and dresses and other AMAZING items she has given away, but we did get to see a few pictures of her fabulous work. Thanks Kazuko for sharing with us and letting us get to know you better.

There were SO MANY supportive husbands at this quilt show! Thanks fellas! I heard one man say to his sweet quilting wife, "Look at that bargello quilt over there hon, isn't that patriotic!" I nearly fell over a quilt stand, I was in shock and awe at that wonderful man!

Here are just a few pictures of a few of the quilts, I hear around 120, that were entered.
