December Friendship Blocks

Friendship Blocks this month will be made for Deonn and Rachel.

Deonn's is a nine patch in a square. This is a block pattern her great grandmother made long ago. We get to make the inner portion of the this block and Deonn will add the 4 lighter corners. Please make sure your block measures 9" unfinished. The nine patch should be made with a dark tone on tone red and a nice tone on tone eggshell or cream. The 4 red corners should be a lighter red and may have a cream or off-white print.

Rachel's block is a yellow star with blue background, any star you would like to make. Use tone on tone fabrics. Please make sure this block measures 12 1/2" unfinished.

November's Queen Bee

Fran is November's Queen Bee
Fran is a newer guild member and we love her! Welcome Fran and thanks for sharing yourself with us!

The best thing Fran said was something like this "I never thought I would be working on more than one project at a time!"
We all know how quickly that changes!

Summer Dreams in Autumn

Our guild held a sewing retreat at Cat's cabin up near Strawberry Reservoir in October. Many ladies were able to attend and it was truly a super time. Cat also prepared a mystery quilt and many quilters participated. Thanks to Cat for hosting such a great time at her cabin and for Sherron and her board for making it such a memorable and delicious time! Of course, thanks to the guild members that attended and spent the day with your machine, fabric, and friends.

At our November Sew and Tell we were able to see some of the completed mystery quilts. Cat named the pattern she designed for the mystery quilt Summer Dreams. Here are the different and beautiful versions of Summer Dreams by our guild members that attended.
